US – Rivers becomes first casino in New York to offer live on-site horse betting

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady has launched an historic partnership with Capital Off-Track Betting, which will bring OTB’s complete horse wagering services to Rivers Casino, making it the first and only casino in New York State to offer live on-site horse betting to guests.

This partnership will not only attract new guests to Rivers, it will also bring in additional tax revenue to Schenectady and the surrounding area.

“We are proud to be the first casino in the state to offer OTB services, and would like to thank Capital OTB and the New York State Gaming Commission for helping make this a reality,” said Justin Moore, Rivers Casino & Resort Vice President and Assistant General Manager. “We are always looking for new ways to bring excitement to our guests, and the addition of OTB is a win-win for both parties. The Capital Region has a tradition of playing the ponies locally and across the country, so we couldn’t be happier to bring the thrill of off-track betting to our guests.”

O Capital Off-Track Betting terá uma “filial” dentro do cassino em Van Slyck's, adjacente ao salão de jogos. Estarão disponíveis 3 terminais de apostas, sendo dois terminais no bar e uma janela quiosque com caixa ao vivo disponível para receber apostas e atendimento ao cliente. As TVs da área do bar também serão destinadas especificamente para corridas de cavalos, exibindo quatro faixas de cada vez.
